why write-II

Didn't feel satisfied after, why write-I, had a feeling i need to say some more....!

One thing which needs little light here is: for me its writing, for you it could be singing, dancing, designing, painting, cooking, whatever; anything which gives you peace, which gives you joy and which gives you satisfaction. It could be one thing or set of things: like for me its listening to Ram katha, travelling along with it and writing.

Master has said : " certificate from others can't be our true identity. The one who loves us will exaggerate  praises and who has enmity towards us will speak not in a very favorable manner. Our true identity is what our inner-self, our conscience says !

So don't bother about these frivolous certificates (read, what others say) ;
Be what you are and what you want to be .....just keep one thing in mind. Whatever you do, do it with love, with all your heart. Coz'  love will make it come alive, will give it soul.

Read a beautiful letter written by an artist to another artist friend, a must read for all those creative people taking their baby steps on the path, this is for all of us-

"..... Just stop thinking, worrying, looking over your shoulder wondering, doubting, fearing, hurting, hoping for some easy way out, struggling, grasping,…Stop it and just DO!…Don’t worry about cool, make your own uncool. Make your own, your own world. If you fear, make it work for you – draw & paint your fear and anxiety…You must practice being stupid, dumb, unthinking, empty. Then you will be able to DO!…Try to do some BAD work – the worst you can think of and see what happens but mainly relax and let everything go to hell – you are not responsible for the world – you are only responsible for your work – so DO IT. And don’t think that your work has to conform to any preconceived form, idea or flavor. It can be anything you want it to be…when you work or before your work you have to empty you [sic] mind and concentrate on what you are doing. After you do something it is done and that’s that. After a while you can see some are better than others but also you can see what direction you are going. I’m sure you know all that. You also must know that you don’t have to justify your work – not even to yourself. "

Rajapur

Finally got to go to Rajapur in U.P, the place where Goswami Tulsidasji was born.

The katha was like always, good! although must admit of being little disappointed by the place. Sadly that's the plight of most of our religious sites.
Its a typical village in U.P. The best thing about it is the beautiful Yamuna river flowing by . Next to the bank is build a small temple, where Tulsidasji was born.

why write-I

why write? often people ask me this, both friends and acquaintances. Believe me, even a person like me, who has learnt not to be affected by what people say, get thinking!
yes, why this effort? whats the point? So much has already been written before me on Bapu's kathas and that too by accomplished personalities. So whats the point  for me to get into this?

Like so many others, i get my answers right from the katha. Following illustrations are from different kathas:

First:
Why does a flower bloom? For people to admire its beauty or does it have a secret desire that it may be decorated on a damsels hair. Or does it wish to be offered to a deity at a temple. what exactly is the cause?

Master says," a flower blooms only and only for itself. It matters not if anybody admires it or not ; nor if it is praised or compared or ridiculed. It does what it has to...and that is open itself in all its finery.

Second:
We all are looking for Peace, we pray for it. In fact all our Mantras end with Shanti, Shanti, Shanti !
Master says," in the act of creation (Sarjan)one achieves Peace, Shanti. Through the process of creativity one gains peace of mind. A small seed will get peace and satisfaction only when it grows; when it sprouts out, grows big, gets branches, leaves and finally flowers and fruits. This is creation."

I remember Osho has said somewhere: God is the Creativity. To enter the world of creativity is to enter the world of God.
Immediately the phrase " sabhi sayaane ek mat " comes in my mind. All wise men think alike !

Thirdly:
I am reminded of one chaupai of Tulsidasji from the Manas.

                                         Hari Ananta, Hari katha Ananta
Kahiye Sunahiye bahu bidhi Sab Santa.

[ Endless is Hari and there is no end to His kathas and stories. The saints say and listen to them in various forms.]

Writing gives me my peace, a sense of accomplishment and immense joy.
