Ram Tattva

Master's Illustration:

Our happiness is subject on outer circumstances:  Person  Place  and  Time

Diya, a oil lamp is dependent on :  a person to light it;   a place where it is not blown out;   a time when it is visible.

Similarly Mani, the gem on snakes hood is dependent on external things,  it has the danger of being stolen.

So, too, Sun, the symbol of light is also at times hidden by dark clouds

RAM is the only tattva which is not reliant on anything;  person place period can't effect it.
It shines ever brightly, nothing can diminish its Light

But for Master, RAM is not limited by any narrow walls.
Ram for him is Satya, Prem, Karuna ; Truth, Love, Compassion.

Ram is Vyapak, all pervading. He is both Nirguna ( formless) and Saguna (with form).

From Sri Ram Raksha stotra-
लोकाभिरामं रनरङ्‌गधीरं राजीवनेत्रं रघुवंशनाथम्‌ ।
कारुण्यरूपं करुणाकरंतं श्रीरामचंद्रं शरणं प्रपद्ये ॥

Lokabhiraamam ranarangadheeram raajeevanetram Raghuvamshanaatham |
Kaarunyaroopam karunaakaramtam Shreeraamachandram sharanam prapadhe II

[ the above was explained thus:]

Lokabhiramam, लोकाभिरामं : One who is blissful and giver of  joy. Master says only when we have something with us can we give it to others. Rama is the provider of Ananda, bliss, to all.

Ranarangdheeram, रणरंगधीरं:   Rana ( रण ) means war / battle. Tulsidasji added rang ( रंग )  along with it. Hence putting color even in the face sobreity, showing One who is calm and unruffled during troubles and tribulations of life.

Rajivnetram, राजीवनेत्रं :  Lotus is a symbol of detachment. He remains detached and above all,  although being in the mist of a crowd. He who's eyes are focused on something beyond.

Raghuvanshnatham, रघुवंशनाथं:  He is the Lord of Raghu's. Master / Nath of the Solar race as also master of all.

Kaarunyaroopam Karunaakaramtam,  कारुण्यरूपं करुणाकरंतम : Lord Ram is merciful. He is a statue of compassion and showers everyone with his gracious kindness.

ShreeRamchandram, श्री रामचंद्रम : Moon (Chandra) which gives coolness is joined along with His name. One who's company and proximity gives peace and light in the form of wisdom and knowledge.

Sharanam prapadhye, शरणंप्रपधे : I surrender, take shelter in Sri Ram.

[The purpose of this stotra is to entreat Rama for His protection; to go in His shelter]

Jai Siya Ram!
